MSI supported a large organization with more than 12,000 employees across the United States - During the COVID-19 pandemic, Leadership made it a priority to understand occupancy trends for owned and leased space, while also ensuring that employees were safe.

In response to the pandemic, MSI developed the Daily Check-In Tracking System to assist the organization in accomplishing priorities. The Leadership team has been able to understand the wellness of the more than 12,000 employees and the occupancy trends of all buildings, at both an office and employee level. Reports are automatically developed and sent on a nightly basis, providing the organization with seemingly real time feedback.

Organization leadership are notified daily of employee work statuses. Additionally, leadership is notified if an employee has not responded for multiple days.

Building Occupancy

 

A summary of occupancy by office building is provided to leadership daily, enabling them to understand building utilization.

Re-Opening Strategy

 

The tracking tool has informed short and long-term reopening strategy, by providing real time intelligence on building capabilities and which critical occupations require on-site presence.

Employee Engagement

 

Daily communications have ensured that employees remain active and engaged during a time of mandatory telework.

MSI worked with a large telecommunications provider and was a key partner in the efforts to build out their global network and monitor the maintenance operations groups.

 

We defined, measured, engineered, and automated the processes and technologies associated with scheduling, authorizing, implementing, testing, and inventorying.

RESULTS

Saved 10 FTE at Network engineer annually.

Reduced average cycle time from 36 days to 2 days for maintenance operations groups.

Saved tens of millions of dollars of costs in the form of repair, delay, and administration reduction during the long-distance network build out.
